Trax 2010 - Silverstone

Well, what a party, err I mean show.
It was my first big show since I'd got back home so was
definitely a good weekend, needed a good party and catch
up with everyone. Started the weekend off by shopping
with Kate and Gibbo for some party lights for the
Saturday night. Then onto Mickey's mums to try and fit
all the kit into about 4 cars, just about fitted in.
Then onto the meeting point to meet a few old faces and
some new faces too. We arrived at the camp site just in
time to get into our area before Kate taped up half the
campsite for our club.
I think we had a few cars turn up so we needed the
space. The next few hours seemed to fly by, with putting
up the marquee, setting up the music and just generally
chilling out, oh and starting the drinking.
My choice beverage was 2.5 litres of proper Cornish
cider, it went down pretty well.
Now as I started to drink pretty quick, the next few
hours are a bit of a blur. I went out with Shamone in his
new Alfa to get some food and BBQ supplies, drank some
more, set up the tent, and drank some more. Then as the
sun started to set, the atmosphere picked up around the
whole campsite, and the music stated blaring and the
party kicked off. We started off with just an iPod
plugged into the mixer, but then a DJ turned up and got
some louder music on the go, so everyone started their
crazy party dance moves and jigged their way into the
night.
It was now dark enough for my highlight of the night,
Chinese lanterns. The first of these went up without
almost no problem, although it did nearly get blown back
into the tents and set half the campsite on fire but it
suddenly got blown with a gust of wind and set off into
the sky. Better than the 2nd one, which just ended up
burning itself and got dragged around a field by Dedman,
a nice simple birthday present for him.
As I say the rest of the night generally blurred into
one, more cider and more dancing, until it was bedtime
and all was quiet.
Then Sunday morning arrived, nice and early! It was time
to wake up, unpack the campsite and get everyone sorted
to go into the show. Eventually everyone got their
tickets and stand passes, and we met up with the guys
who just turned up for the Sunday on our massive convoy
into Silverstone. Not more than 10 seconds after we got
to our club stand did it start raining, which seemed to
be the favourite weather for the rest of the day. The
stand was soon set up, with a massive motor home and a
new GTR in the centre of the stand. Most people then
made their own way off to look around the show, lots of
trade stands and shows to watch throughout the day.
Then me, ninja and Sam decided it was food time, so into
the boot i went to get out my disposable BBQ. When asked
do I have BBQ sauce I said yeah sure its in my boot ill
just get it, which turned out to be harder than I
thought. Id managed to be a right retard and locked my
keys in my boot! Which then resulted in me having to
call my Dad out to get the spare key so I could get into
my car, by which time the rain had put out the BBQ and
we'd been to a burger van. Should have done that in the
first place!
Not much else to report on the day, just had a good time
looking around the show and seeing some drift stunts,
until some idiot blew his load all over the track
stopping the drifting while they cleaned the mess up
Was another awesome show with the UKSC lot and had a
great time catching up with old faces and meeting new
ones.
Roll on the next big show where we can all show off our
winter projects
Thanks for reading.

The Fast Show 2010 - Santapod
Report written by Gandalf

My Fast Show
“Let it rain, let it pour away”
The fast show was to be the first modified car show I had ever attended, yes I’d been to a couple of the cruises but this was my first “official” show. You can imagine then, how the flames of excitement were slowly being dowsed by the moisture ridden weather forecasts.
I come from a motorcycling background, so I am no stranger to enduring adverse weather conditions, but at least if it was too bad this time I could sleep in the car. I wasn’t quite ready though, for just how wet, how quickly I was to get and just how muddy.
The first thing that started to warm me through was seeing the majority of the people that had arrived on the sodden field on Saturday helping to put the marquee up, “Many hands make light work” as the saying goes, and between us all it was up, moved around, and anchored down in no time.
Mark skaaa and myself made our way back to the club stand as everything came to a halt while people took shelter from rain, met up with Didz and had a ROCK half hour, before moving our cars into LOOK AT ME positions, as everyone else seemed to be moving their cars to the opposite end of the show ground. To my amusement Mark wandered around Arthur (his car) with chamois leather in hand even though it was still raining.
Not certain as to what happens next we took a stroll back to HQ and from there to take a look around the POD. It wasn’t until this point I realised that because of the rain there wasn’t going to be much going on, so I decided to follow everyone else’s lead and start on the beer. Time moves at it’s own rate from here on in, I recall spilling beer in my car, a lot of moaning about the weather and a need to assemble the BBQ. Mark, Didz and I carried the kit to HQ and then realised that lil’ ol’ me forgot the foil. Didz drove us off site and it was now we spotted the fields the “public” were camped in. Glad it wasn’t us out there. Foil acquired back to the mud carnage and food cooking.
Grub turned out not to be as popular as I thought it might have been, those that had some, seemed to enjoy it, but there wasn’t a lot of people that tried so left the BBQ to it and onto the beer consumption.
I am not a fan of dance, or drum and bass music so of course I was surprised to hear a song played that gave me a cause to pause. A song had been playing with the generic boom tish boom boom tish “I’m a crap rapper” bullshit, but suddenly the music stopped and after a moment everyone in marquee raised their hands in unison and started singing “Let it rain, let it pour away”, the sound of this was amazing and the lyrics fitted with just what was happening outside, it was as though everyone had at the same time, been given the chance to flip a finger skyward and chant “up yours we’re having fun anyway” WOW what a sight and sound that was.
Sunday
I must learn that as I get older it takes a lot longer for the effect of the night before to wear off. I was lucky that I had managed to sleep until 8:30 and was surprised to find the club stand full of cars. I stumbled around for a while trying to get my head into some kind of working order, got coffee and found I had a flat frikkin tyre. So set to pumping that up (plugged in the electric pump) Drank coffee and wondered if my head would ever be straight again. Didz and I went and got the BBQ back from the site of the previous nights alcohol abuse, assisted with the dismantling of the marquee. (Funny how there wasn’t so many involved in the break down as there was in the assembly, guess it was because there wasn’t so many people wanting to shelter from there rain, or could they just not be bothered, or like me didn’t know it was being taken down until I saw it happening). Got back to the club stand and went for more coffee, ten minutes I was gone and came back to find a foot long scratch in my passenger door and my tyre flat again, arse!
I took myself off to watch some of the racing on the strip and the second race brought a little excitement as a little Renault five blew up right in front of me, went back to the club stand still unsure as to what was supposed to be happening, everyone was drying off their cars so I sat in mine and went back to sleep. When I surfaced again everything looked like it was in full swing. Time now to go see what all the fuss was about, this where I started to struggle, you see it’s very difficult to look at the other clubs cars and be impressed when the better looking cars are on your own clubs stand. There were a couple of things that amused me, the car with the bloody great T.V. screen in the back and two guys playing on a Nintendo Wii, and the VW with the hydraulics was great to watch. There were a few “Trade” cars there to advertise I.C.E. but these pro. builds didn’t count in my eyes, even if the systems did sound AWESOME. I spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around SantaPod with Mark Skaaa, until the presentation of the trophy for the virtual club. I must confess I think it would have been great to have had all of us there to make a lot of noise, but heyho.
More drag strip action and then back to the stand to pack up and go home, tyre permitting of course. After just over an hour queuing to get off site I was off and heading home, strangely the tyre hasn’t gone down since.
All in all not a bad weekend, I will confess it wasn’t what is was expecting but the people I got to party with were just the greatest (the island folk are a great crowd) there was a lot of things, that, if I sat and focused on them could have ruined the weekend for me, least of all the weather but I have a way of cancelling out any negative feelings about this weekend, I fill my chest with air and sing “LET IT RAIN, LET IT POUR AWAY”

Trax 2009 - Siverstone
Report written by Dunks

Well then guys, time for another show report, what a
cracking weekend!
Started off with me washing my car at 10am Saturday
morning, already hungover from another night out. Looked
around 5 different corner shops to find one that sold
Jaigemeister, and finally got to the meeting point.
Needless to say there was only two people there already,
and Simon had been there for an hour bless him! The rest
of the group gradually joined us, and so Me, Swainny,
Simon, Kate and Mickey left in our cars towards the
campsite. Turned out the campsite was only a field, with
no showers or anything, but as we were planning on lots
of cars turning up we got a nice discount, get in!
And then came the wait, as Phil had all the music kit in
Squeeky, and he was helping Cush fix his car. While we
were waiting, Mickey got the flags set up, and they
looked great! Then the marquee was taken out of
Swainny's car, which was fun! We spent about 10 minutes
deciding which poles went where, then changed our minds
and swapped half the poles over, girls were in charge.
Then Emmie got her dirty mind out and wanted me to hang
my balls in her face and spit on them to fit them in the
hole( the balls were to wrap around the poles to hold
the roof on, for all you dirty buggers thinky something
naughty!) haha So we got the roof on, and all the poles
in. Now was time for the music, which had finally
arrived in the back of Squeeky!
This was where Leeboi came alive! Jay got the music
stand set up, all lights fitted and some massive
speakers wired in, and we were ready to party. Now the
rest of this is a little blurry as I'd already drank a
few cans, and was starting on the Rum and Lemonade. The
night slowly grew darker, and so the party grew. Leeboi
was mashing up the decks big time, some great tunes
being played. And I was mashing up my legs with some
crazy dance moves! as the night got later, the Newcastle
lot joined us, and this is where I was too drunk and
made a tit of myself. Note to anyone, do not get drunk
and tell about 15 Geordies that they are Mackams,
massive apologies to all you guys. But thanks to being
such a friendly bunch considering you'd just had such a
long crappy drive. Anyway as I say the rest of the night
is a bit blurry, apart from passing out on the trucks
flatbed, and then again on the floor ( thanks to Phil
and Cush for rescuing me) and then a nice early night
sleep at 2am!
Next day I was rudely awoken at 6am! yes 6 bloody in the
morning! Apparently somebody turned their engine on.
So we all stripped down the camp, packed the cars up,
and went off on our way to the convoy point for the
people just coming for the day. Well, we filled up a
whole car park, there was such a variety of cars, power,
style and looks! At this point I was still severely
hungover, and everyone else looked quite tired too! Once
everyone was there, we set off for Silverstone, and I
think we caused a rolling road block. Nobody could
believe they were driving next to two 15 foot monster
trucks haha. It was a fairly quick entrance into Trax,
and we all arrived at the stand. Then was Cush, Maddy
and Phils time to shine, getting all the cars in
position. And I'm sure you'll all agree they did a
cracking job, the stand looked awesome!
No sooner than the stand was sorted, Leeboi was already
spinning some quality tunes, again bringing in the
crowds to the stand, in between the monster trucks! And
he was so good, I spent half my day with Emmie and Simon
dancing, with a special one leg, down low move! The show
was massive, loads of cars moving around all day, and
you could hear some great racing going on along the 0-60
sprint and around the track.
Went for a little wonder around to look at the show
cars, and there was some mental metal out there, alot of
effort had gone into these cars for the show. As we
returned, our stand was almost invisible, for all the
cameras and crowds surrounding our models. The girls
were doing a great job of washing the trucks and
bringing lots of promotion to our club, great work
girls! Until they all wanted lifting down, of course I
wasn't going to refuse
lol.
Although maybe I should have taken off my white hoodie,
thanks for the marks Steph.
Then came the raffle. Firstly thanks to everyone who
bought tickets, think we took about £130 in the end, a
great amount to go towards helping Kate and Mickey run
such a large club! Secondly thanks to the sponsors and
those who gave prizes, I'm sure everyone was happy with
their prize, even Adrian who's going to come all the way
to Northampton just for a service!
And so the show started to come to a close. A few of the
guys on the stand had already made their way home, as
people have travelled very far to stand with us. We
watched Kenny Block race around a few times, and packed
up the stand. The the queuing started, and speak to Roly
if you want to know what happens next haha.
I left Silverstone, still dancing away, pretty much all
the way home. And as soon as I sat down I was knackered,
what a great weekend!
And now for the thanks. Firstly thank you to Cush and
the events team for organising such a massive show,
getting tickets sorted, sorting the stand, and not
getting stressed!
Secondly thanks to all the sponsors and admin of the
club, without these guys the site wouldn't get run, we
wouldn't have great prizes for our raffle, and the
support they give us with our cars, so thanks to you!
Thirdly massive thanks to not only Leeboi, but
ScoobyJay, who kept the music coming all weekend. I've
never danced so much in my life!
Fourthly the girls, well what can I say. You are all
stunning, did a great job, and certainly bought in the
crowds! Hope you managed to warm up after that truck
wash!
Fifthly thanks to all the members ( including me hehe)
who turned up for the show, bought their tickets, and
made the club what it is. Without everyone the club
wouldn't exist, so thanks to all, also for being such a
friendly bunch!
And finally I'm sure you'll all agree, Kate and Mickey.
Running such a large club, with members all over the
country, and even overseas! without these guys setting
the club up, hardly any of us would have met, and so
they have not only created such a great club, but given
people the chance to be friends with like minded people,
and have such a laugh. So massive thanks to you too!
One last thanks goes to my legs, for allowing me to
dance so crazily all weekend, They allowed such
versatile moves to be created, and maybe even some moves
that haven't been seen before!!
Thanks UKSC!!!

Ignition Xtreme 2009 - Billing Aquadrome
Report written by Emmies

|
Hey all!
I just thought that I'd write a little report on the
events of the UKSC bunch who attended the Ignition
Extreme 09 Show at Billing Aquadrome this weekend.
As you may or may not be aware, UKSC are no strangers to
the 'show scene' and regularly attend car shows up and
down the country. I, however, have only attended two
shows recently and both times I came home counting down
the days until I could go to another show! It seems that
not only do you get to meet other car enthusiasts, but
also end up making some great friends as I have, who all
instantly make you feel part of the UKSC family.
Now, hand in hand with the showing of the cars,
obviously, comes the camping. This weekend in particular
has to have been for me, one of the most funniest times
I have had in a long time! There are some BIG characters
involved with UKSC who will guarantee to (almost) make
you wet your pants with laughter! I would like to say a
huge thank you to my 'giggle twin' who never let me
experience a dull moment!
Back to serious side of things, I would like to say that
UKSC not only have a huge following, but they also show
to anyone that they are well organised, polite and
respectful, making their car club recognizable as one
that is for serious car enthusiasts who all share the
same passion for perfection in their cars.
So, I would like to say a massive thank you for getting
me involved with UKSC and finally, see you all at the
next show!

Ok here is my report...
Firstly Me, Kate, Cush and Phil was so excited about
this show we was banging on the door to get in even
though we was told no one would get in till 12 noon. We
meet up with the guys in charge who said if we came back
at 10am we could start setting up lol.. So we met up
with Cupra and headed off to Mcdonalds for breakfast. We
returned and grabbed the best club stand spot set up the
marquee tent and found a good camping spot between the
showers and the toilets block and under the trees for
shelter from the sun and we started drinking the beer by
12 noon pmsl.. Members and staff started to join us
through the day and set up camp with us. I cant tell you
anymore about the Friday evening (no I wasn't pissed) i
had to go and DJ somewhere for the night.
I returned at about midnight to play catch up with all
of the Friday lot that was pissed and i was glad to see
Emma and Sam had made it over from the Isle Of Shite..
(There words not mine) Lol. We all carried on drinking
and people was sneaking of to there tents in the early
hours of the morning (Except Cush) who went at about 1am
(Lightweight) and me and Emma was the last 2 at 6am
(Well done Emma).
8am we all wake up and sorted out the club stand, Set
the music up, Cush went to meet everyone at the meeting
point on the Saturday morning and it was show time. My
models was getting all the cameras over to the stand
with the car wash that ended up with the models getting
wet and the club getting noticed, Although we would have
been noticed for the fact we had the biggest and loudest
stand. The show finished at about 6pm so we took the
cars back to the tents for another night of drinking lol,
Cush and Phil cooked all the food (bless them) on the
BBQ and feed us all well and again the night got messy
(didn't it Emma) Lol.
Sunday morning Swainny did the £45 shopping bill at (yes
you guessed it) McDonalds and we set up the stand again
but bigger and better as Cush went to meet the members
that joined on that morning. We had loads of people
walking around our stand, Asking members about there
cars, Some of us got to say Hi to our new members and at
3pm all the club staff was called up to the stage to
collect our trophy for BEST CAR STAND (well done again
with everyone involved and everyone who put the cars on
the stand).
That was the Ignition 09 show in brief (lol) So if you
have not joined us yet for a show and like the sound of
what we get upto as a club, WHY NOT JOIN US AT THE NEXT
ONE. Keep your eyes out for details..
THAT'S MY BLOG.......

Boston Modified Car Show - Boston
Report written by Dunks

|
Right then, it all started on a sunny Saturday morning.
Woke up far too early on Saturday morning, packed my car
and headed for Boston. After being a bit nervous, I
ended up being the first in the maccies car park lol!
Was then slowly met by all the other members of the club
going to the show, and a very warming hug from Swainny
haha. After a nice breakfast compliments of Ronald, we
headed off for the show.
Arrived at Boston college after annoying a lot of the
local traffic, and set up our stand. Was really
impressed by all the cars on the stand, and it was
obvious a hell of a lot of work and money had gone into
some of these cars. I was quickly collared by Kate to
help Cush clean and polish her car, and what a great job
we did.
Pat on the back Cush! Even though the show was quite
small, the entertainment seemed to flow well through the
day, starting off with a lovely car wash by our models,
well done girls! Was a few good shows put on from the
fire service cutting up two perfectly looking motors, to
a pretty good breakdance display team.
After a whole day in the boiling sun, we decided to pack
up the show and move onto the camp site, this is where
it gets interesting.
Firstly I don't know how we didn't find the site in the
first place as we had a Tom Tom leading us, but after a
few clouds of smoke from Scott we found the site, and
got booked in. We then annoyed the first camper we saw
by driving past his multi million pound travelling
estate (a caravan!) down a one way road, traffic soon
built up! We quickly found ourselves a spot and set up
camp. Then the shopping list was sent off with myself,
Swainny, Zoe, Scott and the two gold golf boys.
So we headed back to the campsite with near enough £100
worth of beer, and a little bit of food. it was
obviously going to be a good night! The food was eaten,
and the beers flowed well. Until challenges started
getting laid down, such as a bottle of tasty tequila
being passed round for shots, but Scott made sure nobody
else was getting any! This was after I'd just been
"forced" to down 2 jaiger bombs, so i opted out of this.
Not happy with taking the rest of the tequila, Scott
made a move for the Vodka, but only managed 1/4 of the
bottle before whimping out. I can pretty much guarantee
this is where Scott's memory gets hazy. After a calm 10
minutes of normal drunken behaviour, including Roly
taking Kate into the "Hexagon of Doom" Scott slowly
adopted the pass out, kneeling, rolling and generally
fucked out of your head positions for the next 2 hours
or so, with a nice audience from the local paramedic!
So the night ended with Scott passed out in his tent, me
smashing myself in painful places with my Glow Poi, and
all of our neighbours thoroughly entertained!
After a good nights sleep, we all awoke to Jonesy's
gourmet cooking smells, but bacon rolls with hangover
don't go down too well. We slowly packed up camp, and
sobered up a bit more before heading off to Skeg Vegas
for the day. Was interesting to see how close Roly was
getting to the largest speed bumps in the world, but we
got there in the end. had a nice few hours walking round
Skeggie, had a few chips, bought little Joshy his first
advertising wear, and had some lovely candy floss,
cheers Zoe.
Unfortunately the photoshoot didn't happen, as it was
such a nice day all the car parks and beaches were full
up, so it was time to leave. Kindly guided by gypsy boy
and his lady, we found our way to a service station
where I parted from the club and headed home.
It was my first weekend properly meeting a big part of
the club, and I was really grateful for the massive
friendlyness that's gIven out, if that's a real word?
lol. had a great laugh, and am really looking forward to
the Trax camping experience, just please nobody bring
Tequila!!
Thanks again and see you all soon
xx
